WV VOAD is the state chapter of the National VOAD. WV VOAD consists of organizations active in disaster response throughout the state of West Virginia.
VOAD's role is to bring volunteer organizations together and enable them to understand each other and work together during times of disaster preparedness, response, relief and recovery. This includes coordinating communication, resources and manpower among all the agencies to assure the people impacted by the disaster are receiving the relief they need.
WV VOAD is appreciative of monetary support to increase organizational and financial capacity that will ensure that WV VOAD and our member organizations respond efficiently and effectively to the needs of all families (and in particular to low-income, disabled, and medically challenged families) affected by the June 2016 flooding disaster in West Virginia.
The implementation plan for this project is to provide effective coordination and case management to ensure successful relief and long-term recovery. A list of WV VOAD partner agencies can be found at: wvvoad.communityos.org/cms/membership
